Default HOW HIGH CAN YOU REV

how high can you guys rev up to? my other question is what is the redline of a stock d16a, and if changing all valves, retainers, and springs to titanium ones, how high can the d16a rev up to? thanks.

Yes. you will feel alot of HP gains. There is really no need to rev that high anway. and you got a stock bottom end I wouldnt risk spiining a bearing or something. Just get it dynoed and you can see how far in the RPM ranges your car will make power and shift accordingly

As far as I know you have to chip the ecu to rev higher. I do believe those parts will let you rev higher more effectively but my buddy has an EG with a Skunk2 chip and revs to 9 with a B16 swap. If im wrong someone please correct me.

not go past 6? fyi peak HP is made at 6600RPM in a d16z6, and VTEC engages at 5500 so why even have VTEC if your only gonna use it for 500RPM? its 7200 for a reason, use it. But i am not saying ALL the time, because yes, it can and problem will cause damage.

Why does everyone want to rev higher these days? If you aren't making power up that high then its not even worth it... not to mention if your bottom end is stock then it will only take some abuse.

I dont know thats just what he told me...He has a JDM b16 and an intake and exhaust. As far as I know the engine is not modded at all. I only take my GSR engine up to 7500 at most. But yes he does shirt at 9k and I do believe one of his rings is fried lol...

I used to have a gsr block with ITR rods and rod bolts with CTR pistons shifting at 9000-9500 with skunk2 springs/retainers and stg2 cams. Pulled like a streetbike from 6000-9500 and sounded sick too. Motor still rins great last I heard. Sold it to go 2 liter B-series which sees 9000+ rpm a decent amount

once i reved 10.200 rpm with my fully built d16a6 when it running RS-338 that was very2 peaky powerband (peak tq @ 8k, peak hp @9.3K). it safe but the bearing not last long than 2 race
