ITR shift linkage VS. Gs-R shift linkage
I have seen many old post in the past of people wanting to put the ITR shift linkage on there Gs-R. Everyone kept saying either the ITR linkage was longer or that it was shorter nobody knew for sure. Well I ordered a set of ITR linkages and pulled out my Gs-R linkage and put them side by side. I stood there and realized most people have no clue what they are talking about. They are exactly the same except 2 major things.
1st the Gs-R linkage is only painted black mild steel so if you live in a humid area like I do ( Kansas ). It can rust if the stock paint chips anywhere Vs. the ITR being Zinc coated that's why it has a gold look.
2nd is the fact that the ITR does not have the 2 welded weights on the shifter side of the linkage, which is intended to help it go into gear easier but on a positive note make the overall weight lighter then the Gs-R set.
I have installed the ITR set and it shifts great in the garage on jack stands but I will not be able to tell if it will be hard to drive on the road since I am currently working on the turbo set-up and it will not be running for about 2 weeks.
So far it looks and feels great !!!!!
