2000 honda civic hx tranny

my tranny is no good I need to replace it do I have to use an hx tranny or can I use ex/lx/dx?? please no guess work I need to know for sure

you can use any d series tranny

well some hx's come with some kind of gas saving type of motor...if u have that motor and its an automatic transmisiion, no u can not use just any type of other d series tranny...only the automatic tranny off another hx....but if its manual, i think u can use any other d series tranny
