Default how to identify zc camshaft

how do I identify a sohc zc camshaft?

I have a d16a6 cam that I'm comparing it to and the only real diff that i can clearly see is the the end journal ring has a single groove cut into it. Its the same sorta two groove dealy with civic type R cams.

My factory d16a6 cam does not have this groove cut into the end of the camshaft whereas the cam in question does.

thanks

i dunno about the groove, it didnt bring any attention to me. but it would be very obvious if it was a carbed cam, with the fuel pump lobe.

so if its nearly identical to A6, and you KNOW it came out of a sohc ZC head, then its probably the MPFI. im almost sure of it.

btw, what year did your A6 cam come out of? there was an update to the cam after 89.

my cam = 90 si

new cam = possibly a zc sohc. the lobe heights I can't accurately measure but they're nearly the same however, based on observation of the lobes it would appear that the new cam in question has a longer duration. The car certainly feels more powerful.
