Did anybody here past the stock gauge crx above 125mph and brake the needle pointer on high speed?
I'm planning to drive past 125mph to see how far the spedometer could handle. plan to do it soon. Don't worried i will drive in safe place in Area 51.

I did! Though its in KM'h in my country.....207km/h is what I made it up to. (According the the gauge...)

yeah i hit about 135... damn redline your speedo will be just fine

 

yea i was gonna say your speedo will be fine but unless u have a diff tranny u will hit the redline first. i did it on a huge downhill with a homemade intake and i hot the redline at 125 or a lil over

holy crap small world/ yap i live in eureka small town. i'm the only onw here have swap import but there allot wanabee fast cool body kits in town.
I didnt know my time 1/4 mile yet but i will find out this coming drag race here local eureka April 1.
since i have hf tranny my high gear i could go 5th gear 6000rpm around 200mph. But i dont think the car could handle the 175mph speed like that for crx. even have full body kit and tail aluminum wing make it aerodynamic.

 

By the way civicboyzc. did you find how fast/time your car in track. kind wonder your zc?

I got beyond 240kmh untill the rev-limiter cut the fuel
According to factoryspecs it should be 222 kmh for real

 

I m sure you when you drive past 140mph feels like back end loosing traction. ahhhhhhhh!!!!!

 

i hit 225 km in mine according to the car beside me at the time.

 

Well actually a SiR feels very stable at high speed because of the design of the wing which delivers a lot of downforce.. so I will never remove it

 

I hit 150mph and probally could go a little more but I don't have a stock CRX cluster in my car. I changed it over to a GSR Cluster with a RSM to read the actual Speed of the car. To do this though you need to have you ECU chipped to redline alot higher. right now I'm running a LS motor with REV set to 7,500.

 

Wow 150 mph huh? What do you have done to your car besides the LS swap??? Because that is pretty quick for just an LS swap and a rev limiter set at 7500 rpm.

< Had my license revoked. Clocked doing 139 in a 55 zone. I could have gone faster but I ran out of gears.

 

In my rex (2nd gen b16a chipped w/ J1 trans) i've gone well past 125. My car hits about 120 in 4th a little before 9k. Its a little above 7.5k in 5th when it passes 125. I took it a little above 8k once or twice in fifth, but i dunno how fast i was going since the stock speedo was pretty much burried I figure no sense killing myself or my engine if i dont even know how quick it was

 

sucide it's fun when you driving real sports car over 150mph. feels like king of the road.But if the pig got me i'll be racing with big baba inside the jail in 8 by 10 cell not 1/4 mile. "Say it who's your Daddy!"

i hit well past the 125 mark in my b16 crx... my car started to didnt really stick to the ground anymore so i stopped... i think i couldve gone faster...
