need a diagram for a glow shift tach it has red black green purple wires first time puttign a tach in that is after market.

 

ok, like many have said and stated, search; there's a $hit load of posting on installing tachs. to help you out, red = power, black = ground, green = pickup line, purple = aux / acc power ( you know, the lights on the tach turns on at the same time your dash turns ). so what's the name and model of the tach? I'm just curious...... and most of the time tachs a red,black, yellow, green. I recently dropped a 2 incher in the dash of my STD (it didnt have a tach and i didnt want to swap clusters).
