Default Got my first bike! now i have lots of newb questions :P

Just got my first bike, a CBR600 F2... so far im very happy, she runs well and looks pretty good besides the small scratches and cracks in the bodywork from being dropped a couple of times.

so here goes my newb questions, i know alot of people will say i should of searched, i already have been for about 30 minutes, and have awnsered alot of my questions, but these still remain.

1. how do i remove the fairings?
2. how do i tighten the chain, and how tight should it be?
3. is changing the oil any different than on my civic... and should i use standard or synthetic, and what weight?
4. whats the easyest way to get touch up paint to cover up the scratches?
5. i think i can glue the cracks back together, and then touch them up, but what type of glue should i use?
6. what are good places/websites to get OEM and/or aftermarket parts? (right now im more interested in OEM parts to replace things that are broken)
7. How do i change the headlight? i found the rubber grommet on the back of the headlight housing, but cant figure out how to pull it out.
8. mabey the most important... were can i get a service manual so i dont have to ask all these stupid questions?

ill post pics soon, thanks for any help!!!

Undo lots of bolts - get a manual

You undo the rear spindle then unless its a new chain find the tight spot and adjust using the tensioners to roughly 40mm of free play - get a manual

It is a bike engine not a POS Civic. Depending on where you live and what you do there are a couple of oil choices - get a manual

Either touch them in or cover them with stickers/protectors

Superglue is ok but you will find much better results using fibreglass.

Search on the web under OEM HONDA

It has retainers underneath the rubber seal - get a manaul

You can get a factory manual from your dealer or the aftermarket ones which are fine from all decent bookshops. Or look on ebay

most of that stuff is pretty intuative don't you think? If you want to do body work your better be an sexpert, otherwise it will look all jacked up for sure. the normally fantasic ebay is a great source for all things parts.

well, if i **** up the chain tension i could kill myself... i would rather not rely on my intuition for that sort of thing.

sure things like changing the oil are... but it never hurts to ask, incase there are suddleties that im not aware of.

ohh, and im tempted to defend my "pos civic"... i could go on and on about how much work ive put into the turbo B18C in it, but after riding this new bike around for the past few days, the civic just seems so....... slow
