Default 97 accord 2.2L ..."mid pipe size"

What would be the most effective size piping for a SOHC 2.2L accord?
Is 2 inches too small?
Is 3 inches too big?
....?....
What could work best....?.... btw... there's no turbo... I don't even think there will ever be a turbo on my car....

Probably don't want to go over 2 1/4 otherwise you will start to lose horsepower and backpressure.

If not mistaken the stock size is like 1 7/8 inch it is just short of 2". Napoleon style.
