Unless you're trailering your car, unless you autocross and need that for the emergency vehicles, why are you getting it?

It's flashy, ricey, and I can come get your car in a matter of seconds now that you've provided me with an easy means to pick it up and take it. I dont even have to look now!

um...if im not mistaken, your car already has a tow hook....its just not sticking out of the front bumper like a hideous eyesore, scraping every time you park the car

im not saying sum people get tow hooks just for show...cuz i kno epople do do that, n its gay..and i even seen people not weld it to the frame!..but i have encountered times when it was a bitch to get to the tow hook under the car to tow it out...for example my frend got his integra stuck in the gutters on a local mountain road, we went thru hell to get to the tow hook to get his teg out, it wuda save us about half an hour or so and prevented us from getting all dirty if he had a tow hook sticking out his bumper...

So? It probably is better than the one that I have. At least mine doesnt have a blingin tow hook. And at least i'm building a car that can run in the 12s in the 1/4 without even touching teh inside of the engine OR forced induction. Huh what now, ethug.

That's the only reason I would put one on, for one, I'm getting ready to put on my CF lip and if I used the stock tow hook, you could say goodbye to my lip. Another is, I live in Colorado and we do get snow and the roads do ice over and I've been stuck a couple times because I slid off the road.

which is why most of them can cause damage....if your gonna put on a heavy duty toe hook, then i really why know why you'd waste the money by putting it on a bumper support, or core support, or whatever......if your gonna be using the car for competitive, legal racing, then i say GO FOR IT...in which case you should put one front and rear...however, if its just to make it look more "jdm", thats gay...but clearly thats what your into, unless you DO in fact have a REAL cd6

i can think of and know of alota reasons why a tow hook wud come in ahdnle other then legal racing and competition..i kno alot of u guys will flame on me or condone this, but me n my friends do alot of moutnain runs and once in awhile we do get a car stuck once in awhile and in those times a tow hook wud be hella handy...good thing we have a friend with a truck wit a hemi(yup dats ryte..its gotta HEMI! hahaha) enuff power to pull any of our 'rice burners' outta any ditch, to bad it rips our bumpers

actually, i never really 'ran' my car on the moauntain roads...i was always just a spectator, and my license being suspended has alot to do with it too...most of us really just go out to drive around in at around 20-30mph...the only people out of us that really run it hard is my frend with a 91 325i and another with a turbo'd eg...the guy with the teg dat got stuck was just a lil to happy with this new suspension...i dunt plan on running the mountain hard anytime soon with my accord....not until i get sum decent tires and suspension on it anyways

edit: o yea, the mountain road we run doesnt have guard rails either, so dats why i havent ran it, i cant afford to have my car lying at the bottom of a ditch...if anyone lives in the oregona rea and would like to have a few runs with us, just for fun or to get together to talk about tech stuff, feel frre to send me a IM my AIM sn is goowakjai503

Yeah, obviously you haven't seen many cars in this forum n00b

Come talk to me when you've got over $10k invested in your engine alone. And if JDM is your thing, I guarantee you I've got more JDM parts then you. Stop ethugging bItCh
