Default Best Overall Camshafts For B16b engine....

What camshafts do you guys think I should get for my B16b swapped 98 hatch?? The engines internals are stock, just has normal bolt-ons. Not looking to spend $1000.00 either....

I would say skunk 2 Pro 1's with a thinner headgasket n flat-faced valves to give you the nescesary compersion. But if you dont have a GOOD header, intake, exhaust n something to tune with, i wouldnt advise you to get the cams first.

I am currently running Pasword JDM Power Chamber Intake, DC 4-1 Header, Carsound Cat, Apexi World Sport Exhaust, and a B&M Fuel Pressure Regulator on a stock internals B16B, CTR LSD Tranny with Fidanza 8lb. and a ACT Street/Strip.

In a few days I might switch to a 92-95 chipped ECU from my stock B16b ecu....will the cam be affected by this change?? Or will it help??

Dave doesn't build a .6 header

Depends where the chipped ecu has it's vtec engagement for sure. I would reccommend keeping vtec at 6k, any lower and the motor will somewhat bog unless you have some work done with it. I went with RM M22x's in my B16b and I love them. They gave me allot more midrange, and the top end pull is incredible. If you're not looking to spend a grand though, my only suggestion - assuming you aren't going to change valvetrain - would maybe be the S2S1's, but even those will give a very minimal gain. The S2 Pro 1's NEED COMPRESSION to run them. We just got done putting some in ym roomates motor, found here.... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1353343 . The cams haul ***, but to run them in your motor you will hafta either stroke it, or mill the head to gain the compression you need. Any more ?'s about your motor let me know
