H22 ECU.....JDM vs. USDM
i'm about to finally swap my long awaited built H22 motor into my 92 Civic HB. i have a jdm h22 ecu because it's all i could find a while ago. should i use this ecu or find a usdm one? i heard bad things about this ecu like 120 mph speed limiter and some injector problem (not sure what it is). this is going to be a track car so don't ask why i need to go 120 mph.
thanks.
thanks.
just get yourself a cheap fields and it'll take off that speed limiter.. the jdm ecu does have more aggressive fuel and timing characteristics.. ran a jdm auto p13 and a usdm manual p13 and the jdm ecu pulls better.. vtec is more aggressive.. but the jdm gives us a gay idle..:D runs a little rich.. the usdm ran really lean.. the a/f was all the way to the red and we kept getting check engine light..
i say go jdm.. or if you want to trade us the jdm MT for our usdm p13... lemme know:D

if you need to eliminate the speedlimiter and further improve the maps on your JDM ecu . I offer a Spoon program for it (vtec: 5000rpm rev limit:8500rpm, and maps which are much more aggressive but still good for street, it will also convert the auto into 5spd, ecu)
from the few test we have done the improvements are radical compared to USDM ecu....JDM ecu is indeed more aggressive + has righer rev limit..

kit is only $50 for DIY installation (includes 1 chip in this case)

i dunno how good a spoon program would be on a motor built for turbo. and why does everyone keep bringing up auto ecu's? i never said i had a jdm auto ecu. lol.
thanks for the feedback.
