Default n/a header noise?

im using a jdm b swap in a 92 4 door... i never used a n/a header before on a b-series .. i put an obx stainless one on last night and is it normal to hear a ticking sound coming from the header area of the head and a tapping drumroll sound when hitting the gas while driving?

Sounds like you have an exhaust leak somewhere, pretty common on tubular steel headers. Did any manifold bolts break? Are all the gaskets in correctly and tightened? Thats what I'd check first

thanks..i was thinking so also...i had to reuse the stock manifold gasket because the one they sent ..the ports were too small for the head...the header was right but the gasket doesnt fit...i think i might try dremeling it out and see if that works

Or just got pick up a copper one! They are pretty cheap and will last for ever compared to a fiber one

Eh not really gonna matter enough to make a difference. Just get a copper one, mine has 13,000 miles and still looks brand new, no leaks either
