Viper 300 esp remote learn, need help
I started to put in the alarm and watned to do the learn remote routine so I could use the remote before I moved on...
but its not learning..
the door trigger is hooked up and works...
the Ignition input is connected to the ignition for now just to teach the remotte...
So as the manual says...
I open the door (alarm starts to go off)
turn the ignition to run ( sendin the 12v to the ignitin input, alarm siren still goin off)
Hit hte valley button one and hold..
Hit a button on the remote and the alrarm still goes off, no chirp to let me know I did things right...
So why does it not work.. thanks..
The remotes worked for the old brain, but it had to be swapped out for another once since the old one burned, so now I have two remotes that do not sync with this brain.
thank in advance.

You don't do it with the alarm armed, do it with the alarm disarmed, open door, turn key on, push and let go of valet switch then push and hold valet switch then within 10 sec push lock/arm button on remote alarm will chirp to confirm remote has been learned.

PS.... don't forget if the learn routine is locked you will need a 998T , PC interface module, to unlock it.

Just use the "disarm without remote" routine turn ign. on and within 15 sec. push the valet switch to the "programed" number of times, [1 to 5] to over ride the alarm, factory default is one time, [page 10 of Owners Guide and 15 on "curser" bar] http://www.directed.com/guides...V.pdf .
