Default Tire rub 18" rims 98 Prlude

i have a 98 prlude which i recently bought 18" rims 225/40/18 stock was 205/50/16. I have a little tire rub going on the outside of the fenders i was wondering if it was possible to widen the fender or just change the suspension to coil over to stiffen it up. If you could give me a better suggestion i would really apriciate it if you could tell me

Agreed.

I run 215/35/18 with no rubbing. I'm using GC coilovers w/AGX.

i use 225-40-18 on tein flex coilovers, and had it pretty lowered, but the fender was rubbing the tire real bad at the rear, so i had to bend a bit the inside of the fender to stop the rubbing, and also had to raise the car 2cms. i'm also looking forward to make the fenders a bit wider to fit the tires and lower the car again.

alternatively use 225/35/18

I have 18" wheels with +42 offset and 225/35/18 tyres. It rubbed at the rear when we went over big bumps the first time it was installed. All that is needed to do is to roll the inside lip of the rear guard and voila all fixed. The car sits so that there was no gap between the tyre and the body as well.

Now I've sold my Tein HA and change to Mugen Sport suspension. Car got higher, pretty sad but oh well.

you guys forgot about the offset. if you have 48+, it will not rub at all, even with 225
