im planing on buying a cheap welder jsut to practice and welder little stuff like piping and exhuast stuff. whats better arc or mig? whats the difference? and which is better. BTW i need an electric one

you get what you pay for with a welder,
when I was 16 Ibought a $250 welder from tractor supply, it was flux core then I converted it to mig it was a big POS but got the job done.
Later on I got a Power Mig 215 ~ $1400 from lincoln its night and day from the POS farm hand tractor supply welder
Then I bought a precision tig 275 ~ $3500, Yes a good welder costs more but it will save you from banging your head on the table in frustration
simply save up and buy a good one
