Thanks guys
the power motor is most likely going on it. look in your trunk and pull some panels back and look behind them (left side of trunk) should be able to unplug it from the motor, or possibly a fuse you can pull.
bump for someone elses opinion

"i shaved mine off along with the motor, drivers side trunk, behind the plastic trim its right there and its on the side of the motor."

You can pull the radio out, and clip the solid blue (usually dark blue) wire on the harness which gives power to your power antenna, that will stop it from going up and down.
as to why it makes that noise, it's not the motor. It's the antenna mast or more accurately, the little teeth along the white plastic cord has probably been stripped of a few, and now it slips when trying to retract thereby making those weird sounds.
You can find used antenna units for the 2nd gen and third gen tegs fairly cheap in the classifieds ($25 or less), or you can go with an s2k conversion.

With the DA's, the panels are fairly flexible, you won't have to remove the entire panel, just remove the cover panel by the tail lights,a nd unclip a couple clips from the rear of the side panel, it should bend enough to let you get at the antenna unit.
and either a used da or dc antenna unit will work for your teg, you would just have to reuse your antenna unit mounts if you get one from a dc (94-01_ integra).
