review: 92-00 greddy evo exhaust after 3 years
First the images:

This is what my greddy evo exhaust looks like after 3 years of kansas city daily
driving. the pipes have held up decently, the flanges are nothing but rust now, as
well as the resinator, or should I just call it the rust-inator. But the worst part is
the last pic, the inside of the muffler. it's destroyed. I tried to contact greddy
about warranting it, but after a week of trying they said they never received my
warranty registration form, which I did mail in, and that there was nothing that
they could do.
The fitment of the exhaust was perfect. absolutely no problems. it sounded good
until the muffler started to fall apart then, it sounded like my car was farting all of
the time.
This is not a quiet exhaust, especially with no cat. it's loudest rpms are 3.5 -4k
rpms, which is about 80 mph for my 99ex. so on long distance trips I would have
to use ear plugs to help keep the migrane from getting too bad, but on the plus
side, it actually got quieter the higher the rpms. so while racing it's not so bad, but
cruising down the highway wasn't fun for the ear drums.
so all in all, the exhaust was pretty decent until the muffler started to come apart,
after about 2.5 years. the warranty department at greddy sucks, I've heard they
are very hard to deal with and want to blame all problems on cold weather and
salt. The dealer I got the exhaust through said they've had quite a few problems
with greddy trying to get any warranty issues resolved, which most of the time
ended up by having the customer purchase a different exhaust. Which is what I
did, I now have a super quiet apexi ws2.
please feel free to ask any questions or leave any comments.
