Default Anyone else found that sk2 Pro 1's have COMPLETELY changed their exhaust sound?

Hey guys,

I had the pro 1's recently replaced stage 1's in my motor and let me tell you, my car is waaay louder at idle although consistently loppy at ~850 rpms. I can deal with a loud idle but the exhaust note is much louder and turns into a "tinny" rasp under any hard acceleration. My car sounded mint with the sk2 stage 1's, as I had a fat straight through stainless steel resonator and custom 2.5 inch piping to an apex-i Universal canister. Now I've got a raspy fart cannon on my hands lol. My car still needs tuning (which will happen this weekend) as the power delivery is rough to say the least, with vtec only beginning to pull 3-4 hundred rpms after the crossover (5300 rpms) whereas the stage 1 's provided an immediate pull. I understand tuning is the key for smoothing out the power and maximizing the cams potential but will the tune fix the nasty exhaust note that has my car farting it up around town???

Any info or advice would be great

you're running bigger cams and complaining about the sound? Of course it's going to get louder, if i remember, the primaries on the pro1s are huge, just like the m22xx and toda Bs.

Get your **** tuned. That's all I have to say. Casey@Burn's Stainless and I were having a discussion a while back about the relationship between proper tuning and exhaust note. AFR as well as timing can be heard. Having tuned cars with both Stage 1s + Pro 1s, I can tell you there is NO COMPARISON on the tuning front - I'd be happy if you haven't had motor damage as a result of detonation from beating on an untuned car with new cams.
