Ok guys, I bought my 97 Civic EX back in the beginning of May. It had an aftermarket cd player in it and I ended up putting my Pioneer 6400 in it. Well, I had the idea last week to put the stock head unit back up top and put my Pioneer down where the cup holders are. I did this basically to have a dummy headunit up top and to try to get the stock alarm back working.

I finished this up earlier this afternoon, plugged the green alarm plug back into the stock headunit. I plugged the aftermarket headunit up and got out of the car and shut the door. I tried to use the keyless entry, but nothing.

I then disconnected the battery to see if that would reset anything. Still nothing. The only thing is, the dome light comes on now when you open the doors, so I know the alarm is somewhat working, since the domelight is tied into the stock alarm.

The red light lights up on the keyless entry remote, so I know it's not the battery in it. Can anyone help me out here? I'm just trying to get my stock alarm back. Do I need to get it reprogrammed? Thanks.

 

Are the door-locks working? Did you use the "T" harness to power up the stock HU, you need to use it, [not just the green plug] all the green plug will do, [if it's the only one plugged in] is close the loop for the dome light. 94
