Default stock jdm itr block on BC5 cams

heres a dyno of racerboyb18c1's setup.
now before anyone complains bout the dyno chart. we got this motor together the night before battle of the imports. these runs are just baselines to make sure the air fuel wasn't too lean. we didn't have time to tune since it was 4 in the morning and there were other cars waiting to get tuned for the next day.

the setup is:
freshly rebuilt stock jdm itr short block.
p&p b16 head by the owner, head milled 20 thousands
buddyclub spec 5 cams
supertech springs and retainers
itr intake valves
skunk2 intake manifold
itr tb
comptech long tube race header
j's racing intake

chrome basemap

And we know this motor is overcammed he bought these cams for his future setup. this was an overnight put together so he can compete.

These were my old cams that made 250 on my fully built setup, I'm surprised they performed that well. A 211 whp 1.8 is awesome in my book..GREAT JOB GUYS

Being that there aren't alot of stellar mods on that car but the cams and untuned to match...I'd say they did very very well. Damn nice numbers out of a mild 1.8.

That motor had a lot more potential! He was using my basemap which is for my 2.0L 12:1. I don't think they did any changes to the mapping.

Can't wait to see how the 86mm performs

PS. Congrats to Chris (racerboyb18c1) for placing 2nd at the Battle.

Ever dyno'd before?

I've seen as much as 7whp difference in certain parts of the powerband in back-to-back runs with no changes. You generally need 3-4 runs to have a realistic "baseline".

varying conditions...........
plus i had just started to break the motor in on the way to the dyno.
basically we broke the motor in on the dyno.
first time hitting vtec was the first baseline.
