i wash my car car abbout every other week. and like ateam2003 says, it still happens w/o vtec. if i go more than like 1/3 throttle my friend says i have smoke. i know preludes are notorious for blowing smoke, i just want to know what is it about preludes that make them so smokey? anyone tuned the car and got rid of the smoke?

Get a fresh claybar and go to town on it. That should take it off. Try to wax that area real well after you have got it all off.

If you lean it out a little on a V-AFC or some engine management program, you will see a lot less of the build up.
