Default newbie to the H badge

ok well first i gotta say hello and i havent gotten a crx yet but i have been searching and have decided i am going to put a b18c-r in it hopefully from a 99-01 itr anyways i dont really understand how i would go about changing the transmission over to a cable transmission. would i be able to use an older transmission with that year era of engine or what? also would i have to purchase an itr short throw or could i use a crx short throw? what all other stuff must i consider besides buying an engine wiring harness transmission axles and such. theres a website i found that sells full engine swap kits and i can get a 98-01 itr engine and everything for around 6000 after everything that needed to be added it did include the transmission for that engine but if i cant use it i could sell it and make some cash off that in order to buy the cable transmission. anyways if somebody could help me out with those couple questions id appreciate it. also i used the search feature for both my questions when i was looking for the swaps but i couldnt find anything. also just wondering if anyone has saw the new super street with the 9 second rsx type s. pretty nuts imo. anyways thanks in advance......

Welcome. I would have to say if you are "green" then make sure you read more, ask more questions, listen even more and find some solid knowledgeable friends in your area to glean from.

You can use any B-series cable tranny, and you may want to switch it to OBD-0 or OBD-1. Just take it one step at a time.

hasport makes a hydro to cable conversion bracket for the tranny. but you can only get them if you buy a mount kit.

well the website i found has jspec motors. plus i plan on doing a stroker kit to it making it a 2.0l. the website also sells a cable to hydraulic conversion along with the harness and all that fun stuff my main concern was the transmission i wasnt sure if i could use say a 95 b series transmission with a 01 b18cr engine. also about the short throw shifter would it really be possible to use a crx shortthrow shifter or should i get a itr? btw im in the navy and bout to be earnin a few more bills a month so that will help the whole project i plan on having done after i get back from doing my overseas cruise. anyways what do you mean by "green"??? also does anybody have a set of custom projector headlights with the angel eyes conversion to it. i saw on ebay some chrome housings with the halo. which i am probably going to get. my color scheme will be gloss black with a little silver flake in the clear coat along with blacked out tails and chrome rims with the chrome headlights. the black widow wide body kit and a custom hood scoop as i will probably boost the b18 and i wanna try doing a custom tmic. so i will use a sti hood scoop and mold it to the hood or if i get a carbonfiber hood i will get a carbon fiber sti scoop. i dunno i will probably sketch something up later on when i am bored. anyways lemme know whats up yall.. and if any of you are in the beaufort south carolina area maybe we can chill. right now i got a crappy neon i overpaid for but still. anyways thanks in advance.
