Default Good Speakers?

I got some "Boston" Speakers for like $5.00 from a local junkyard they are model FX6's and are in good condition. Are these decent speakers? I have some junky Pioneer 3 way 6.5 speakers that I also scored from the junkyard currently in the front doors of a 92 civic hatchback. Which speakers should go where? The HU is an Alpine CDM 7874 again scored from the same junkyard . .

Thanks in advance for any info.

There is an easy way to tell, install one of the Bostons and then have a listen, then install the pr that sound the best to you 94

Well, I will be installing both sets, (one set in front and one set in back) I just wondered if one set would be better for the front.

Thanks

Which ever sounds better, because afterall you'll be spending more time up front.

Thats what he wants to know. The front I would go with the pin. and the bose in back. imo bose makes good speakers for surround sound. Maybe they take that and put it into car speakers. So i would go with the bose in back!!

That's why you should check, what sounds good to you may not sound good to someone else, If it was me I would install the Bostons up front and the Pioneers in the rear, but then I would replace the plastic oem speaker housings with custom MDF ones up front, I would also cut the leads for the tweeter and "super" tweeter on the Pioneers so only the woofer worked in the rear, [better for staging] 94

i think the bostons would sound cleaner in the front... they are probably better that the pioneers... and seeing how most of your audio imaging comes from the front of the car, i think it would be wise to use to bostons. seeing how you got these speakers from junkyard... i dont kno which ones have been beat up more so i think your gonna have to play around with your setup for the best sound

Hahahaha, Im sorry I read it wrong. Lol, You said bostons not bose. My bad. Thinking about it I would go with fcm on this because you dont know how the speakers have been used. So just switch one of them out of the front and see which one sounds better.
