I just ordered some projector headlights for my 01 Accord. Someone told me that I had to take the bumber off in order to remove and replace them with the new ones. Is this true or can I do this without removing the bumber?

 

Yep, you have to remove the bumper cover (or atleast disconnect it at the top) to get to the 3 bolts holding each headlight housing behind the bumper. Just pop the plastic holders out of the top around the grill, take the 2 screws out of the corners in the wheel wells, and you MIGHT have to pull one or two plastic rivets out holding the splash guard underneath, also near the wheel wells. Then you should be able to let it "fold down" to get to your housing screws. Did I leave anything out? Good luck!

it's very, very easy with just a screwdriver and socket set.

 

yeah you have to be able to get to the headlight bracket. In order to that you need to take off the bumper.

Taking off the bumper is not a big deal, it's easy.... if you can change the oil of your car... you could remove the bumper too...
