Default SCCA Driving Event at Blackhawk Farms - October 5 - Beloit, WI

Spots still available!

The Milwaukee and Chicago regions of the SCCA will be hosting a Performance Driving Event (Level 1) October 5, 2005 Blackhawk Farms Raceway in Beloit, WI.

This type of event is designed for people of all experience levels to drive on track without the extra risk that comes in bumper to bumper club racing. This type of event is perfect for novices and also great for autocrossers who may be thinking of transitioning into road racing. Experienced racers are always welcome, however only limited prep cars are allowed (Showroom Stock, Touring, Improved Touring, Stock, Street Prepared, Street Touring, Street Modified).

The format will be similar to HPDE’s and track days that many of you are familiar with. The day will open with tech inspection and then a brief drivers meeting. Drivers will be divided into 4 run groups with each driving session lasting approximately 20 minutes. Every novice driver, or anyone requesting it, will be assigned a licensed instructor. Controlled passing will be allowed in designated areas on the track. There will be a one hour lunch break that will allow you to talk with other people, instructors, etc to get ready for the afternoon sessions. At the end of the event, there will be refreshments and another Q&A session on how you felt the day went.

Event Details:
-The event is limited to 80 entrants. There will be a waiting list if you do not get in on time.
-Entry fee is $125.00 for SCCA members and $175.00 for non-members. We will have member registration on site if you want to join then.

Registration
For the information on registering, time tables and supplementary rules see:

Thanks

-Everyone at the track must sign the waiver (including guests, workers, etc).
-Cars must pass a basic safety inspection. Similar to what is done at an autocross.
-Drivers must bring a SNELL approved helmet with either a M-90, SA-90 or newer rating.
