can anyone help me with making my own carbon fiber parts? info on where i can get c/f and any step by step info? help please my car is going away this winter and im taking it apart so anything that i can replace with c/f will be motor is goin in this winter and my turbonetic t-bo kit. HELP NEED POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO.

 

i have seen cf sheets on ebay a couple of times, you could also try some local shops they might have some left over cf from custom jobs

 

Look up Tap Plastics in the phone book or tapplastics.com, they sell fiberglass, epoxy resins, carbon fiber or kevlar, mold making materials, and many more products that have to do with plastics and carbon fiber. You'll also need an industrial vacuum that is capable of at least 8psi,a vacuum bag, hoses and a psi gauge.

Even in a wet hand layup carbon is stiffer and stronger than fibreglass, but expect to pay high prices. By my rough estimates carbon costs about 8 1/4 times more than fibreglass, per layer, for materials alone
