This is a question for all the guys on the board, who have either seen a Spoon hood in person or own one...

I just got mine today, and I was looking at it, and there are several blemishes in it.. They look like dimples, but they are not on the clearcoat, but rather it seems like they are in the carbon fiber. Also, there is one about as big as a half-dollar coin.. Is this normal for a hood like this? people have said yes, and others said no.

damn, that sucks for a 1,000+ dollar hood.

 

my friend has a spoon hood and there is a mesh overlap that looks terrible in one spot 2 very small cracks and yes some blemishes. For $1000.00 i would send it back whether its spoon or not. Think the best hood out there is the Benen industries hood IMO.

 

Yeah really, I would have definetly gone w/ Benen if I was spending that much money. They're no doubt easier to get than a Spoon hood, too.
