Will poor shocks cause the trailing arm bushings to break?

Default Will poor shocks cause the trailing arm bushings to break?

i runnning gc's on pep boy shocks right now and the shop said my rear trailing arm bushings are broken. Are the shocks waht cause this? I have some koni yellows i havent installed yet. If this is the case, ill wait unitl after the shocks are installed to put in the new mugen bushings.

as far as i know the trailing arm bushings are like any other bushing. Theydo go bad over time. Replace them as soon as your money allows, and your car will handle waaaaaay better! Either withthe mugen ones or the stock ones. DO NOT USE THE Energy Suspension bushings! They bind at speed. If you don't believe me do a search in the archives. Hope this helps. BTW I know this cuz I have had the honor of having to do them on my EF about 8 months ago and my DA about 2 weeks ago. NOT FUN! But necessary.
