I have a 1996 Honda Accord LX 101893miles on it. Lately, the engine feels louds and produce grrrr sound at certain rpm. I wonder how I can correct this and make it revs smoother without grrrr noise. Thanks.

 

is it around 1800 RPM?

 

Wrap a steel hose clamp around the catalytic converter shield and tighten liberally. They develop broken welds on the top where you can't see them. While you're at it check the rest of the exhaust shields for loose/missing bolts and broken welds also.

do as P- suggestes... also there is a bulletin on vibration at 1800 rpm ..exh kit comes with new gasket, bolts, springs, the honda dealer might help u with that,,,,,also, have you had timing belt replaced recently ???
