head question
I have a 96 honda accord lx with the f22b2 motor and i was wonder if the f22a1 (older accord) head would fit onto the block of the f22b2. i have a friend with one and he is willing to sell it for dirt cheap so i wondering if it would fit.
Thanks

The "B" means: second generation engine, and the "A"..means... first generation engine...
You should go do a little research, to see if all screws, and gasket fit properly, if no one give you the answer.

I was looking at that right now... and... looks like it will not fit.
The F22A is a non-vtec SOHC... and F22B is a Vtec SOHC... looks like the F22B head is bigger than the "A" one!

first, if you have a f22b2 your motor is not vtec....regardless all those heads will interchange just fine, vtec or not - an f22a head will fit perfectly on an f22b1,2 block just fine..all the headgaskets are the same part #.
