Econotig or Syncrowave180Sd on a budget?
Basically, im putting this on my CC. 7th gen civic have little aftermarket so I think id make my money back quickly with it, and it sucks using someone elses welder. now the econotig is $1300 shipped, and the 180 is ~$1600 shipped. Are all the extra options on the 180 make the $300 more a bargain? Of course it will be used to manifolds, exhausts, yada yada. So yea, no job+ bandsaw and turbo parts sitting in my garage=need to make some cash with it. any input on the 2?
Of the two, I'd choose the 180sd....
but have you considered a used machine? They're not like buying a used VCR. A quality welding machine can give 20+ years of GOOD service...and that's under heavy usage.

can you tell me where to find them used? ive looked but havent really gotten far. and what features really make the 180 that much better? and do I need a 230 outlet for it? its ok I have a spare washer/dryer outlet I can use.

If your determined to buy new, yes the Sync 180 is well worth the extra $300. If you are looking at Engloids road of used machines, which I totally agree on...call up your local welding shops. Alot of times they have used former rental machines for sale, and/pr could point you in the direction of used machines. Many have machines on consignment also.
