hey guys, i put a motor in my trunk to haul it home, i tied string around the mechanism on the lid and down around the motor so it wouldnt bounce out etc, anyway

my trunk wont shut now, it just bounces up when im driving down the road... LOL

the latch inside the car has NO resistance, yet the cable seems to run all the way back and into place at the latch... i cant even slam the trunk shut?

it might have caught in the closed -latched position, which wouldn't allow the trunk lid to close. it will just bounce off of the closed latch

well not really, but i dont think its in the closed position like it will go all the way down its not like its hitting a bar or anything its KINDA like, it goes all the way down but when somethings supposed to catch or pop out to lock it, it dosent happen...

if that makes sence...
