I ended up taking a wire wheel to mine, cleaned it up really nice.

if you are to take it to the machine shop to get tanked, then it all has to be bare. completely.

i've always just used simple green and worked fine. for the more stubborn stuff... warm up the motor... let the simple green sit for a couple minutes, then brush and hose off.

oh trust me i know, i wasnt sayin its clean.

My buddy got his head cleaned and for some reason it looked BRAND new. He got his block cleaned by the same ppl who cleaned his head (and the same ppl who cleaned my block) and his block looks the exact same as my block.

Let us know how the remover works, I might try it on mine.

where the hell did that come from? we are talking about cleaning a motor in this post. removing calcium, other build up etc. so totally random.

and i have no idea what you are talking about.... changing the pitch to make it "crack" louder? wtf? try making a new post and asking that... no one is going to find that question in a post that has nothing to do with that.

as for cleaning the motor........ steam cleaner sounds like a plus to me.. that **** works wonders for just be hot water. god luck, and let us know how the CLR works out for you.
