Overheating

Default Overheating

My CRX runs very very hot. I have new--- W\Pump,thermostat,hoses,rad cap and a fan which is wired to a switch. Will overheat in traffic. Also both rad. hoses get very hot and feel like they are about to burst. Help.

also, is the fan wired the right way where it is blowing on the radiator and not away from it??

What is the condition of your rad.? Put some Waterweeter, that really helped me alot for my Crx on the race track.

I got the same prob on my car but mine only overheats when im stuck in traffic other than that it runs just fine. plus i also have my fan wired to a switch but i always turn it on when im about to just on the freeway. im still trying to find out what the deuce is wrong with it

yea i hear that alot and i think it might be the reason. thats like the only thing i didnt change when i did my swap i should of but i was too anxious in finishing my swap. i guess thats what i gotta focus on now

I just had the head rebuilt, this started after? After i finished the job i took car for test drive and It got very hot, that is why i changed everything. Do you think the head could have warped on that first test drive the temp did nit get all the way to H?

The radiator will be changed next. Does any one know if it will be a huge problem to fit an aluminum radiator from 2nd gen rex into my 85 si?
