Default Unsteady Idle need help

I just performed a swap into my '00 DX hatch.
I swapped in a full b16a2 from an '00 SI.

Now when I start the car the idle fluctuates between 800 and 900rpm.

If I slowly increase the revs to 1500 it still fluctuates about 100rpm.

However if I go above 1500 it will start fluctuating by 1000rpm.

And if I go too much near or above 3000rpm the car stalls nearly everytime.

If I rev up to 2000 then let the accelerator out the car will nearly stall or stall every time.

any hints or clues?
No idea too crazy.

scroll about 2/3 of the way down. you may need to swap 2 pins in your harness. not sure. but look to see if it was done.

For what purpose would I need ot swap two pins?

I am using the engine harness from the SI and I am using the eCU from the SI.

I am not getting any CEL right now.

ok so I already have the 2 wire IACV as I am using the SI engine harness so I do not seem to need to do any pin chanign or anything.

Anyone else? More ideas?

I think vacuum to the EGR is enabled at 3000 RPM.

After some searching on this forum it seems that the b16 motor does not have EGR valves.

So it seems unlikely that is the problem.

Anyone else? I am desperate!!!

CHeck your TPS sensor..Easy way ...turn off car..unplug tps..turn on see if anything changed. if so plug back in and replace tps..if not plug back in and check other sensor/vacs.

Thanks I will give this a go when I get off work.

Anyone else have other ideas?

I am just trying to get as many ideas as possible as I get very limited time to work on my car due to 12hour shifts every day.

No, I am currently not seeing any codes.

I was earlier this week showing a code 65, secondary 02 sensor, but that has been fixed and the code has not returned.

Yeah I've now had time to check the TPS and it does not appear to be the problem. I even replaced it with another TPS and I still had the same issues.

So I do not think it is the TPS itself but it may be what the ECU is doing with the info it is getting from the TPS.

Anyone else with ideas?

In my seaching I have seen many people mention the IACV as a possible problem.
Does anyone care to explain what exactly the IACV does?

Thanks.

It has now become urgent.

I no longer can borrow my fathers EP so I need the car for work on wednesday.
That means that tonight is the last night I can work on it before I give up call myself a failure and take it to honda to fix.

So please, if anyone has any ideas, even the most ridiculous, now is the time!

Thanks

THE SOLUTION:

For anyone who has this problem the cause of mine was the connectors for the MAP sensor and TPS were swapped. So the ECU was getting MAP values from the TPS and TPS values from the MAP.

Apparently then the ECU did not know what to do to correct what it thought was problems so it just dumped more and more fuel into the engine.

So there you go, if you have problems check and make sure you have connected the right plugs to the right places.
