hey guys...hopefully someone can help me out. i just bought a used 2003 accord sedan ex v6 and i've noticed that the head lights dim at random. usually, the head lights start going schizo after about driving 30 minutes (on the freeway). the lights begin to flicker, going from regular brightness to a dim. i tried to see if it was related to me pressing the gas but it's not cause it does it when i'm at a stop.

the car is out of warranty so i want to stay away from taking the car in if not needed. any ideas of why this happens? any help will be appreciated.

 

it's probably happening due to your fans "engaging". When you come to a stop for long enough, your radiator/condenser fans will come on to keep everything cool. When this happens, it will pull electricity away from anything else in the car for a breif second until the idle is adjusted to make up for the extra strain.

In short, this is normal
