Default removing "cloudyness" from a carbon fiber hood.

so my dad took my car to get waxed before i came home and my carbon fiber hood is really really cloudy now. you can see swirl marks in the cloudyness from the cloth. how do i get rid of it? i tried some turtle wax polishing compound and it kind of worked. i worked on a small area for about 30 minutes. any ideas on how to better take car of it? is my hood "proper" fucked now?
