How To: Make a Carpet Cover For Your Gutted Interior
Hey Guys,
I recently removed my rear seats but realized that my dynamatted floor was too ugly to leave alone. So I decided to try and make some sort of carpet floor to cover it. This is what I did...
First here's a look at my ugly *** rear interior:

Go to Lowes and get 7 x 6 feet of outdoor carpet, and lay it in your car like so:

Get the sharpest pair of scissors you can find and start cutting. Do NOT use an exacto knife. The carpet will fray too much where you cut. Cut slow so you don't cut one side too short:

And here's how far I got before school:

I guess the next step would be to get the sides sewed up or something. I don't know how to sew though.

Ummm, I'll never understand the point of removing the seats in a Honda. Unless it's a track car that is. Good job though....I guess.

But seriously, I've always wanted to make it a two seater but hesitated because of the damn dynamat that I stupidly layed everywhere
Also, you could do something like that with a roll cage too, give it a clean look.

Benefits of removing your interior and carpets:

- easy rejection of people who try to mooch a ride
- the ability to keep the steel clean from trapped water and mold
- can hear the exhaust and wheels (more increased sense of driving experience)
- increases luggage space
