Does an S2000 swap drop right in an EG???
ban
......of course it doesnt go right in. for one the s2k is RWD and the car your putting it in is FWD. secondly the s2k motor sits in the engine bay front to back where other honda motors sit from side to side. stupid question.

I also thought that I read somewhere about the K-series trannies bolting up to the s2K motor. Might be mistaken though but I have heard of this idea before.

it would involve making custom motor mounts.
the engine should fit because it is smaller that h series witch i have seen fit in eg's
you would need a custom transmission input shaft to mount a b or k series trans to it
you would need a fabed plate to mount the trans to the engine and have custom mounts to mount the trans to the car
then you would probaly need to redo the wiring harness
good luck on your project

People make the F20C into front wheel drive and add either the H22 or F23 trannys to them. But you still need custom mounts, but i think Hansport makes them. Along with wiring kit and what not.
Actually Pest... that's a pretty damn good idea... I've been looking into converting a civic into either rwd or AWD... And even though you will make "Less" power than a bosted, worked B16, u always got greater displacement, porting and polishing, boring and troking, and boosting to make that thing scream... Another thing is that u can laugh at everyone else popping ebrakes when u drift circles around them...

I think he was thinking of keeping if FWD but not sure. There are people out there that have made RWD and AWD civics but there are very few of them.

yep it drops right it
step 1. pick it up with both your hands l
2. lift and hold over engine bay
3. drop ontop of existing engine
4. have fun with a rwd side mounted engine in your fwd civic.

That wouldn't work, because you'd have 6 reverse gears and 1 forward gear - unless you mounted the engine back-asswards somehow.

Um, no. I get the feeling you're thinking of the F20B.
