Hey no problemo....Glad to see it turned out nice for ya!

I agree with ya on not liking the look of stock exhaust... Im curious to see how it holds up for you, what kind of paint did you use?? how many coats?

looks good, pete.

much better than the stock "bling" exhaust, which seems so out of place on the bike. the flat black matches with the frame and makes the exhaust so much less noticeable.

I think it looks nice. What grit sandpaper did you used?

i used 250 grit paper to sand the pipe down. i think that's the most important part because the paint really needs something solid to bond to considering the heat.
i used 1200 krylon flat black. it took about four coats (with 10 minutes between coats for drying) to get it right. i let it sit for 24 hours before i road it. so far it's been doing fine...we'll see if it holds up though.
oh...and i left the racing stripe for the added 15 hp that chrome racing stripes add...hahaah...but really just because i thought it would look nice.

Thanks, I think I'll try that on mine. Again, looks good but can I get more hp if there are three stripes?

Im shure you would see much greater gains on three stripes. Larger gains are going to come from painted stripes, but then again, not just any single thing is going to add alot of hp. A motorcycle is a machine and it has pieces that all work together, you might want to consider a decal or two if you will be investing alot into these stripes you are talking about. Make shure you buff it real good when you are done, you wont get much gain if you dont do it right.
