I've been keeping people updated on the progress of my Colt GT. For those unfamiliar with these cars...Dodge/Mitsubishi produced 1500 of these in 1989 with 1.6L turbo motors. These cars came with 4wheel disc brakes, bigger sway bars, close ratio steering rack and an OEM lip kit.

A 2.0 4g63 bolts right into these and i've gone a few steps further with my car.

Modifications are listed below.

Engine:
4g63 (stock head/bottom end)
Evo3 16g Turbo (exhaust housing is ceramic coated)
2g Exhaust Manifold (ceramic coated)
2g 02 Housing (ceramic coated)
780cc injectors
Extrude Honed Intake Manifold
Evo1 Throttle Body
Evo1 IC
Evo1 IC Piping
2.5 Inch Downpipe
3.0 Inch Exhaust

Transmission:
ACT 2600 Clutch
91 FWD Transmission (Built, Upgraded Synchro's)
Kaaz Differential

Suspension:
Ground Control/Koni (rear)
Ground Control/Kyb (front)
RRE Camber Plates
Evo1 Dual Piston Front Brakes
RRE Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines
Evo1 Wheels

The car is making around 300whp, 300tq and weighs about 2350lbs. I've taken out the heater core, ac setup and a few other misc items.

no 1/4 mile times yet...

ran the car when it was near stock (stock 14b, stock motor, untuned) and it went 13.9@106 on 14psi. (about 240whp)

i'm guessing the car traps between 115-120mph.

these are fwd, a few people have done awd conversions but i'm not interested in making this car any heavier than it already is.

compared to an EF hatchback, these cars are heavier. the differences are in the uni-body which is much heavier and quite a bit stiffer than a honda chassis.

 

nope, all front wheel, but he said he put a limited slip in it, so she should hook up.

great numbers!...ultimate sleeper very sleathy...i would be **** if i got my *** handed to me by this car and would wander why i lost hahaha this definately will put ppl to shame

 

i think with a little bit more of a drop and all one color it would look even better.
but its still badass.

 

i am going to lower the car another inch...i just have'nt gotten around to it.

for the past month i've been putting together my daily driver (90 tsi awd) so i can work more on this car.
