I have a 89 honda accord lxi, the check engine light comes on it idles rough, also if I shut the car off it wont start, it tries to turn over and it wont, until after about 15 minutes, also I get a strong gas smell when this happens, please help...

To get codes, turn the key to the ON position (right before the starter engages) and it will flash if its throwing codes. The link tells you how to read the codes and what they mean.
