hey..what would happen if..i get an HID kit w/o projectors??

 

everyone on hear will tell you its got crazy glare and that you will harm on coming traffic. but other then that you will have a nice beam and it will look amazing looking at the car and it will look good outside the car. it puts off a very nice white light and you can see the road better.

 

Just aim the headlights down to minimize the glare.

 

friends have them w/out projectors and i think they look way better than with projectors. the glare isn't even that bad they're just bright as ****, especially when they're in back of you.

Without projectors, you get a poorer light pattern, and it blinds the crap out of people. Cops tend to not take it lightly. Besides, retrofit kits are illegal now.

 

he's right, yeah its not like the factory cars but neither is 300 whp from a civic or something

I had some 4300k's on my car with no projectors and it looked great after some aiming adjustment. Only reason I took it off was i missed using my high beams to signal people and the cops in Miami started to pull over cars with hids and checking if people had reciepts for them, (due to all of the maxima's, acura tl, benz's with missing headlights)

 

As I said earlier, retrofit kits are illegal now.

i have 4300's in mine without projectors. honestly it looks great from outside the car, and it lights up the road much better, but the glare is unbelievable. if you live anywhere where the fog gets bad, i would suggest doing the projector retrofit. its impossible to see in the fog with my car, its 10x's worse than having high beams on. all u see is a wall of white, very unsafe.

how you spend you money is your choice, but blinding me is not fun.....although, i have yet to be blinded by a hid/non-projector, s2000s and lexus projectors are the worst.....

Its only illegal when you get caught....I'll be keeping mine until someone else buys them so I can make a new set for my car
