Default Need to make room for a large FMIC

ive seen threads around but i cannot find them.

i need to squeeze a as1025 precision intercooler (2.5" charge piping) into my crx and i currently have a stock bumper. it needs to be sleeper!

ive done so much to keep it sleeper (hidden gauges, quiet exhaust, stock looking wheels, etc..) and i dont want to ruin in with my FMIC.

anybody know of any fitment friendly bumpers?

wings west front bumper with a black grill....the only thing is you gonna just trim the inside of the bumper...its easy fits right in.....i painted my intercooler black...and cut the insides of the stock bumper out....and mine fit perfect...hard to see at night.

You CAN paint the intercooler black,
But what you can do also, since the intercooler is aluminum, try anodizing it black.
It will hold up better then paint and looks better then paint.
Only thing is that the anodizing people may ask you what type of aluminum it is, since its precision, a call to them will answer that question (its prob. 6061 or 7075 Aluminum)

If your in the Jersey area i can recommend you a place

You don't need a gigantic FMIC unless you're pushing 400+ whp. I don't really know why everyone thinks the need an FMIC that doubles as an autobra, maybe they bought too many boosted cars in GT1/2/3.

Take a look here, http://www.johnnyracecar.com/bud6a.htm 350whp for a tub/fin 6". Your fmic is rated for 600hp, is over 3.5" thick AND is bar/plate. Sleepers will always put looks (lack of) before performance. I can't see you loosing that much hp buy going to even a 2.5" deep bar/plate.

With the setup I am building, I will have a lot more than 350hp. I need the bigger fmic. If I was just doing a stock motor with a street setup, I would have spent $175 on an intercooler. I did a t3/t4 setup on a smaller intercooler and i hated it. The difference the weather made was insane. This car is going to be a street sleeper and a track killer (hopefully).
