mini me wired for obd1 with p28

battery is fine, tried two batteries and put lots of grounds on the motor just to make sure it wasnt the grounds..and it wasnt. the starter cranks slow though, when i go to start it doesnt seem to try like it should. instead of sounding reer reer reer reer, its more like reeeeeeeeeeeeer reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer

any help??

oh i know this is a big deal, not sure if it would prevent the car from starting though. it seems compression in cylinder 2 is really low. has a new headgasket, not sure why its low but its low. every other cylinder is ok. would that prevent it from starting up?? cause i had a head that had no compression in 2 cylinders and it started.
