89 honda LX/powersteering belt came off?

89 honda LX/powersteering belt came off?
My husband bought a new belt. Should I take it to somebody to get repaired? I need help. It also was smoking is it because of the belt? What should I do?

where is/was it smoking from? it could be that the power steering pump locked up, and that caused the smoking, or the loose belt was rubbing against something and was cutting the belt.
the belts on these cars are easy to replace, especially the PS belt, as it's the outermost belt. for me, it's like a 5 minute job.
