Hey Migs, I made one for my vid camera out of some 16ga (.060") stainless, bent a couple of flanges along the long side for stiffness, and drilled some holes for some large suction cups and then one hole in the middle for the 1/4-20 bolt to hold the camera on to the mount.

It took me like an hour to make, and it worked like a champ. I know I was pretty scared about putting a $700 camera on the roof with some suction cups, so I tethered to with a belt/lanyard, but I never had any problems; but better safe than sorry, right?

I can give make some drawings and stuff if you need more info, if needed...
