Well it's that time again for the Tire Rack Solo National Championships in Topeka. I just wanted to take a moment to say good luck to the ITR guys in DS. Out of 34 entries there are 11 Type R's. The breakdown is 2 black, 4 yellow, and 5 championship white, but this includes two driver cars.
Here's a link of the entry list including the other DS cars for comparison for those who aren't too familiar with autocross. If anyone wishes for the link to be removed for privacy, feel free to PM me.

Just out of curiousity, what does a prepped STX ITR usually consist of?
Is it primaraly coilovers, I/H/E, and wider wheels with Azenis?

I had registered in STX but had to cancel last week in part due to the new car, and I have to travel for work during that week. I will be going FOR SURE next year. I look forward to running against you Todd someday.
My STX car has I/H/E, Konis/GCs, VAFC, bigger rear swaybar, seats, F/R strutbars, wider wheels, and I still will get stomped by the WRXes. I can beat them locally, and have been competitive divisionally (and even nationally in the one Pro I did) but me thinks I am in for a world of hurt at Topeka, hehe! But its fun.

Yes, plus engine management, rear sway bar, camber kit(s), & weight reduction (seats, brakes, battery, etc.)
Tires, no guarantee on the Azenis. I'm on the kook's, but Todd00, et al run the Azenis I believe.

I was fortunate enough to get to ride along with #94 Nick Amick this weekend at the Tenn. Region SCCA event. Took my 97 out just to watch and he introduced himself and answered some questions for me then offered a ride. AMAZING DRIVER and great guy. Good luck at Nationals fellow ITR owners. Hopefully see you there once I get some regional seat time under my belt. PZ
good luck to all............make it count because methinks the ITR will have some serious competition next year in DS.

either that or the JW package that is coming out soon...
if not MSC then there is a newer BMW 3 series or Performance Package
that "might" get moved. There is also a lot of room for improvement (shocks)
on the new pocket rockets from GM and Dodge. GS cars have been faster then DS at many events, 330 got a lot of good AutoX upgrades with the E90 body.

That would be us, only Black ITR at Nats.
I think a Yellow one will be the one to watch.
So far it looks like rain, so the AWD VW becomes a top dog.
Mr. Youngers is a course designer, and remaining BMW drivers
have proven that they are VERY fast.
Dependent on the course desing we might see some
Saturns on the top with 200whp and 200wtq, they were
fast at Peru Tour. Same goes for Mazda MSP, Toledo
has shown that it can do OK at Big Events.
IMHO one of the ITR's or BMW's will be the Champion,
now the question is who will get it done?
Thanks for all the support from locals, we will try our best.
