11 000 RPM redline H22
Since I've been beat by my friend WRX yesturday, I'm thinking on swapping a H22 into my car, stock i dont know if i would have a chance so i'm thinking of moding it so it could reach 11 000 rpm but i'm not to sure how i can raise the rpm realine that much need a little help please
You can take any motor to 11,000rpm... once.
I wouldn't count on the H22 holding up to that, there's a lot of metal moving around in there, hard to control when it gets going that fast.
I'm not sure what car or engine you have, but I would hazard a guess that you can turbo or NOZZZ whatever you have to stomp a WRX, and for less money than an F1 H22.

but a stock b16a1 does do much agains the wrx because of lack of torque so turbo a b16a1 would be the best solution ?
But if i swap a h22 and put header and cam and intake, exhaust then would i have a chance, my car's a crx

sounds like u need to read up on your info alittle bit.. stock WRX's run low 14's.. at around 99-100.. a ur better off sticking toa turbo to that b16 or swapinge verything out fora gsr on spray or major bolt onts.. u shouldn't have any problems beating a wrx then..
simply put and you guys are both stock....you will stomp that wrx....but there is alot of work involved.

i don't think you will get a H22 to survive much more than 9krpm nevermind 11........
why does everyone want to rev the living **** out of these hondas? i don't get it....

because that is how honda makes there power.they cain't make power down low..i may eat those words before to long tho.i have bored and stroked mine.but also made the r/s better....1.65 w/a 97mm stroke oh yeah.
i don't understand myself why people want to rev the hell out of them if there not making power that high.

If you really do think that, you have much to learn.
The pistons will probably be quite powerful as they exit the hood. Be sure to take a video.

A GSR engine w/ it's oil squirters and counterweights that it already has is a good platform, then if you have it sleeved with forged internals, then and only then will you have a reliable car that can redline a 10500 rpm, 11000 on a H22, your smoking rocks...
a h22 has a better r/s than a gsr.....but the b doesn't have as much rotating mass.the lighter the rotating mass the higher the revs.why do you think a b16 can rev like it does.

If you really want to build an engine that revs, the thing to think about is less displacement, which is why you wouldnt want to build an H22 that revs. A 1.6 liter four cylinder will rev higher safer than a 2.2 liter four cylinder in most cases. If you really want something that revs, build a B16 like other people have said.

the b16 is lighter than the gsr ?! and is it really true that the gsr is the better base for tuning ?!</TD></TR></TABLE>
it's all about what one likes.....but there are some of us that like going out on the edge.........

so do b16a have squirters and with forged internals you do need them, plus if the gsr or the b16a are not tuned they are useless.

my h22 stops making power at about 7250.....its stock but i dont ever see the h22 making it to 11000 without some serious mods and it probably wont ever make power that high
So far I have taken my H22 to 11K+ twice.. First time I bent all the valves and second time I bent all the valves and cracked many of the valve guides..
i took mine to about 11,500, but that was because i went back to second instead of fourth
.**** was awesome, messed my clutch up(pressure plate) and bent a few valves, the head really wasnt that bad.
