Default Oldskool deep-dish wheels on EG

i was wondering has any1 installed a complete set of 4 oldskool wheels (the ones u see on various muscle cars/dragsters that r usually silver or crome in the middle with non-profile tyres...i dun kno what theyre called) on their eg civic?
what would be complications of doin this?
im guessin they would be heavier so performance would be worse off, am i right? do these wheels come in a lighter alloy or just in steel?
any1 got pics?
thanks in advance

good luck man, but the first pic is of slicks on the front, with drag wheels. The second is of a crank pulley that is like 5 inches across.

To answer your question, yes there are tons of wheels made that will fit your civic, and many of them have fatty lips. You are looking for something called a "lip" which is the area of rim past the spokes on the outer rim of the wheel.

They often come in aluminum, and are lighter than stock steelies if you stay under 16"

yeah, im planning to use it everyday driving. so those wheels are lite? so generally the bigger rim with low profile tyre weighs more than smaller rim with greater profile?

These wheels are lighter than most wheels actually, but can't put up with the abuse of daily driving i believe.

I would recommend Volk GT-P knock off's so they won't get stolen, and if you want to you could get some Volk stickers.

The biggest issue with trying to run this type of wheel is that the "style" is typical of rwd cars with lower offsets that what your car requires, meaning that even if you can find something you like in the right bolt pattern it would probably stick way out from the fenders.
